Apple adds new Mac Studio models black titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2 to Certified Refurbished store

Apple on Thursday added two new devices to its online Certified Refurbished store, including various higher-end models of the Mac Studio and the black titanium version of the Apple watch Ultra 2 smart watch.

While most people choose order their Apple hardware new, Apple’s Certified Refurbished store is often a good way to get like-new hardware from the company with the same great AppleCare warranties as buying new, but with a substantial out-the-door discount.

The new Mac Studio models that have joined Apple’s Certified Refurbished store include those donning high-end M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips, which are strong performers in the desktop computer world.

Models containing an M4 Max chip begin at $1,699, down from $1,999 new, for the 14-core CPU and 32-core GPU option. For those who demand more, the Certified Refurbished store offers the M4 Max model with memory configurable up to 128GB and internal storage configurable up to 8TB. The higher the specs, of course, the higher the cost.

Models containing an M3 Ultra chip begin at $3,399, down from $3,999 new, for the 28-core CPU and 60-core GPU option. Much like the M4 Max options, the M3 Ultra has hardware options that will only drive the cost up more, with memory configurable up to 256GB and internal storage configurable up to 16TB.

Mac Studio aside, Apple is also offering the black titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2 in its Certified Refurbished store for the first time starting at $679, down from $799.

This model is virtually identical to the original raw titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2, but with the darker colorway. This model lacks the blood oxygen sensor that earlier models of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 had due to losing a lawsuit, but most other specs are the same.

If you’re on the fence about buying a Certified Refurbished product from Apple, don’t be. Apple restores most devices to like-new condition, including brand-new external cases, and ships items in plain white boxes that look and feel just like the original new product box. Since you get the same warranty, you don’t need to worry about parts failing, since you’ll be just as covered as buying a new product from Apple.

Likewise, if you want more than the standard 1-year warranty, you can still buy extended AppleCare coverage and you can even return your item within 14 days if you’re not satisfied with it for any reason.
