Apple has released an updated version of iOS 18.3 specifically for the iPhone 11, and Max devices.

Released on Monday, February 8, 2025, an updated iOS 18.3 version with a build number of 22D64 is available as an over-the-air update on all iPhone 11, and Max devices in Settings > Genera > Software Update.

It seems to squish a critical bug that was affecting iPhone‌ 11 models, but there don’t seem to be any other changes. The iPhone 11 lineup launched in September 2019 with iOS 13 preinstalled, succeeding the previous iPhone XS/XR models.

Apple’s release notes don’t mention what’s new in the updated build nor does the company’s security page which details critical bug fixes and security patches in its software. Apple has not released a new version of iPadOS 18.3, just iOS 18.3.

The new build follows the public release of iOS 18.3, which arrived a week ago on January 27, 2025, alongside iPadOS 18.3, macOS Sequoia 15.3 and other updates. For iPhone 16 owners, iOS 18.3 enables Visual Intelligence to detect insects and animals and add events from posters and flyers to your calendar.

The updates also tweak the look of notifications summarized by Apple Intelligence on iPhone, iPad and Mac to distinguish them from others while adding the ability to turn them off from the Lock Screen. Importantly, the updates have temporarily disabled notification summaries for news and entertainment apps following complaints of errors that could change the meaning of the original headline.

Other under-the-hood changes and tweaks include repeating operations in the Calculator app and fixes for the disappearing keyboard when typing to Siri and Apple Music continuing playback until the song ends even after closing the app.
