On Tuesday, May 7, Apple’s team hosted a media event and live stream to announce the iPad Air and iPad Pro updates for 2024. Each of them now coming in a new 13? screen size option, there is a massive and brighter screen on which to consume media and be productive. Each device was announced with an incredible advertising wallpaper, which you can download now for your iPhone.
New iPad 13? device wallpapers
The all new iPad Pro comes with Apple’s newest silicon, the M4 processor. iPad Pro is the first device to receive the upgrade, taking the previous gen from M2, two generations into the future. Along side the upgraded processing power, the all new Ultra Retina XDR display takes advantage of a Tandem OLED panel, offering extreme HDR brightness of 1,600 nits at peak. All of this is packed into Apple’s thinnest device ever, the 13? clocking in at a mere 5.1MM. In early hands on reviews, it is noted this is barely thicker than the USB-C port.
iPad Air, now also comes in a larger size of 13? to match the more powerful option. It was stated in the media event that approximately half of all iPad Pro purchases were of the larger model in previous generations. Thus, the trickle down of the larger size makes the iPad Air a very appealing device, as it also received a processor bump, the M2. Now offered in new shades of blue and purple (plus the obligatory Starlight and Space Gray), iPad Air still utilizes the Touch ID sensor on the Sleep/Wake button, but did get upgraded to compatibility with the new Apple Pencil Pro.
