Apple now offering refurbished M2 Mac mini models at a modest discount

The baseline $599 Mac mini featuring an M2 chip with 8 CPU cores, 10 GPU cores, 8 GB of unified memory and 256 GB storage is available refurbished for $509, a savings of $90. Another configuration with 16 GB of unified memory and 2 TB of storage sells for $1,359, a discount of $240 versus the original price tag.
Not all M2 Mac minis are available in Apple’s refurbished store. Availability fluctuates and depends on limited supply, which is often constrained. For example, refurbished Mac minis powered by the M2 Pro chip are currently unavailable. For that reason, you should periodically check the refurbished store.
This is the first time Apple has offered refurbished M2 Mac minis. Other pre-owned products are available from Apple, including refurbished iPhone 13 units and the latest Apple TV 4K (2022).

These miniature systems provide several ports, including the 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB-A ports, one HDMI port supporting up to 8K video output, Gigabit Ethernet and two Thunderbolt 4 ports (four on the flagship $1,299 configuration).
The M2 and M2 Pro chips powering these Macs integrate Apple’s latest 16-core Neural engine for running deep neural networks in a battery-friendly manner, capable of performing up to 15.8 trillion operations per second.
Both M2 and M2 Pro include Apple’s media engines so you can edit multiple streams of 8K video in the ProRes, H.264 and HEVC file formats.
