iOS 14: How to put a face covering on your Memoji on iPhone and iPad
Keeping up with current events, Apple added face coverings as Memoji options in iOS and iPadOS 14. It’s not a surprising update considering that’s how most of us look and will continue to look until COVID-19 is under better control; covered from the nose down with a mask.
So why not make your Memoji more realistic with a face covering! Here, we’ll show you how to put one on and make it your favorite color.
How to add a face covering to your Memoji
Follow these steps to put that mask on.
- Open the Messages app and switch to the emoji keyboard.
- At the bottom in your grid of Memojis, tap the three-dotted menu to pull up options.
- Tap the three dots on the corner of this screen and then select Edit.
- Scroll all the way to the right until you’re in the Headwear section.
- Scroll to the bottom of the section until you see the Face Covering area.
- Tap the Memoji wearing the mask and then use the options directly above it to change the color and the slider to adjust the shade.
- When finished, tap Done.
Now when you use a Memoji, regardless of the emotion, it will be wearing the face covering.
To remove the mask from your Memoji later, follow the same instructions above but remember to choose your Memoji without the face covering in step 5.
