Last night at 9pm I was hooking my iPhone up to charge and sync when I got a message from iTunes that I have setup a new phone. This was the same computer and same user I had used in a while. I told it to sync but it told me it would erase my 500 apps. So of course I stopped it. I called a friend from Apple and he did a screenshare and said everything looked fine. So at about 11am I restored my iPhone. I kept restoring from a backup and then went back another hour to the last one (thank god for Apple Time Machine). After a night of doing my own Mac Support, I finally found a backup a few days ago that worked. My phone was back to normal….well normal from Friday after I spent a weekend organizing my apps.
But I just can’t be mad. I love the iPhone. Its kind of one of those devices you can’t do without…microwave, refrigerator, IPHONE.
In fact a survey was done and people would rather have their iPhone then TV.
As you know we support Macs and PC’s every day in the metro DC area. But its always harder to work on my own. I now understand why doctors go to doctors when they are sick. Its tough. A good number of our clients are other IT companies and they use us for their internal Outsourced IT.
So back to testing iOS 5 beta and Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 beta. iCloud is going to be a hit.
