Apple on Tuesday refreshed several models of its Magic Keyboard lineup for Mac, introducing revised key labeling on U.S. English layouts to better match the design of its latest laptops.

The updated keyboards replace edge text labels with glyphs (symbols) on a set of modifier and navigation keys. Specifically, the tab, caps lock, shift, return, and delete keycaps now feature symbols instead of written words. On full-size models that include a numeric keypad, the changes extend further: home, page up, page down, end, clear, and enter keys also switch from text to symbols.

• The standard Magic Keyboard
• The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID
• The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad (available in both white keys and black keys)

The one U.S. English model left unchanged is the Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad that lacks Touch ID; it continues to use the previous text labels.

This refinement mirrors a change Apple made earlier in 2026 to the built-in keyboards on the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Neo, which adopted the same glyph-based labeling. British English and other European layouts have long used similar symbols, so the update brings U.S. English keyboards (and those sold as the default in markets such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore) into closer alignment with Apple’s global design language.

The refresh appears to be a subtle consistency-driven tweak rather than a major hardware overhaul. The keyboards retain their existing scissor-switch mechanisms, low-profile design, rechargeable batteries (typically lasting a month or more between charges), Bluetooth connectivity, and USB-C charging. No price changes or new features such as backlighting were announced.

The updated models are already available through Apple’s online store and select retailers. Existing owners of prior Magic Keyboards will not see any functional difference, as the change is purely cosmetic on the keycaps. For buyers seeking a seamless visual match with current MacBooks, the refreshed versions deliver that uniformity.

Get information about food, plants, animals, landmarks, etc., or take quick actions like adding an event from a flyer to your calendar using the new Siri integration in the iOS 27 Camera app.

iOS 27 adds a new “Siri” tab to the Camera app that lets you point your iPhone at an object and get more information about it. This is just an extension of the Visual Intelligence feature available on iPhone 15 Pro and later since iOS 18.2.

So, if you’re on a strict diet and crave something else, you can quickly point your iPhone at the food item, and Apple Intelligence will give you more information about its nutrition. Similarly:

• If you point the camera at a flyer in a foreign language, Apple Intelligence will translate it for you.
• In case it has a date, time, place, or other details, you’ll get a suggestion to add it as a calendar event.
• If the object has a phone number, you’ll be prompted to add it to a contact.
• If there is an address, Maps will prompt you to open it there.
• and so on…

Before you begin, make sure the new Siri, and by extension Apple Intelligence, is set up on your iPhone.

Ask Siri about an object in the iPhone camera app

1) Update your iPhone 15 Pro or later to iOS 27 (currently in beta).

2) Open the Apple Camera app and switch to the Siri tab.

3) Point your camera at an item, and in a couple of seconds you should see a yellow message on the screen identifying the item. If you don’t see it, tap the Siri button.

4) Apple Intelligence will process and give you more information about it. Depending on the item, the interface may differ slightly, but you’ll still get the information.

5) If you have a specific question or need further information, tap the comment icon on the left and type your query.

6) Tap the image search icon on the lower right to search the web for similar content.

Note that this feature doesn’t work with everything, and in some cases, the answer may not be detailed, even when the image is clear, as shown in the screenshot below.
