  • Starlit On Wheels: Super Kart Races Ahead of the Pack

Starlit on Wheels: Super Kart iPhone Game

It’s no secret that the overall quality of games graphics and animation gets better and better.

For proof of that look no further than the game we’re reviewing today.

Starlit On Wheels: Super Kart is an incredibly well designed game that excels in all the aspects of a game that you care about; gameplay, UI, graphics and animation.

You can be forgiven if you confuse Starlit On Wheels: Super Kart, from developer Rockhead Games, with some other “kart” type racing game (I’m looking at your Mario Kart). Those of you who have played Mario Kart on Nintendo consoles (not currently available for iPhones) know the quality is impeccable. Well, we’re very happy to report that the competition will definitely impress you.

    Gameplay:

As with most racing games, the goal of the game is pretty straightforward – win! However, the devil, as they say, is in the details. We care about how you get your kart to go where you want it to go and at the speed you want. In terms of kart control, you either have a blast playing the game or you chuck it in frustration.

As you embark on the challenge of helping Bo and Kiki capture the stars stolen by the evil Nuru so he can use them in his magical motor, you’ll feel how the gameplay and UI are blended perfectly to make this game a pleasure to play.

Not only is there a wide assortment of courses, cars and powers but you can also create your own tracks and share them with other players online. Pretty neat.

We also appreciate how newbies are eased into the action with some tutorial tips when you first get started. It doesn’t bog you down with too much training, though, so you can quickly get racing and enjoying it.

We really only have one nit to pick with this game. You can buy a different car but the only change is the appearance, not the capability. We’d like to see more devs follow how Subway Surfers does it. You see a little demo of what the new item does (if anything) before you select it.

    Appearance and Layout:

Starlit on Wheels: Super Kart iPhone Game

As stated, the overall appearance of Starlit On Wheels: Super Kart is very nicely done. The graphics are top notch, colorful, and fit right in with the game. Bright colors and fun animation as you drive are an added plus.

The assortment of 128 tracks in story mode keeps things interesting and makes for many hours of interesting gameplay.

App layout is simple to figure out and navigation is a breeze to get around.

    Value:

Since Starlit On Wheels: Super Kart is offered for free it’s a super great deal. While there are IAP’s where you can buy tokens, you can have tons of fun without spending a dime.

Due to its superb graphics, animation and storyline, it’s a great fit for just about any age group. The game play is pretty easy to figure out and it’s lots of fun to play.

Starlit On Wheels: Super Kart iPhone game requires iOS 7.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

  • 5 Ways to Make Your Inner-City Commute Easier

5 Ways to Make Your Inner-City Commute Easier

Despite being a Monday through Friday ritual for many individuals, inner-city commutes can be a real drag. However, apps are available to help mitigate the stress involved in an inner-city commute.

    1. Take Advantage of City Ridesharing & Carpooling Apps

Carpooling and ridesharing apps have significantly eased the process of commuting by providing ways for people to share the stress of a commute with others, save gas money, and reduce environmental impact of so many cars on the road.

In most cities people who rideshare have the chance to use carpool or HOV lanes, which can drastically reduce commute time.

These apps and websites have upgraded their services, and riders can now pick drivers based on features such as their star ratings, the number of mutual friends who have used their services, etc.

Websites such as GoCarma.com and Waze.com, or the Waze Carpool app, are great ride sharing sites that help to make the inner-city commute easier.

Gocarma.com, for example, uses the latest technology, which contains real-time information about nearby commuters and the shared cost of riding. Waze.com is a great carpooling app that helps to reduce commuting costs by allowing passengers to share costs.

    2. Use an Alternative Mode of Transport Whenever Possible

Though this option sometimes requires adapting to a new routine, you can always make your inner-city commute easier by using an alternative mode of transport, such as a bike or train, whenever possible.

Plus, most train commuters are usually happier and less moody than those who drive to work. You can read a book, listen to a podcast, just chill or even get some extra work done on the train to get a jump-start on the day!

A train or bicycle is great for commuting, since the commute time is not as affected by traffic or congestion. Pedaling is also great for overall health and provides an exercise option. Try driving your car up to the city’s outskirts and then riding a bike for the remaining distance.

    3. Explore the City Commuter Paths & Organize New Ways to Get Into the City

City commuter paths provide transport options and help to improve pedestrian and bicycle access to different paths of the city by offering enhanced mobility for non-motorized users.

The amazing thing about these paths is that they offer new ways to get into the city, and you don’t have to get tired or bored using the same old routes.

    4. Use Mobile Parking Apps to Find Parking Spots

Thankfully, the era of driving in circles from one location to another in search of a parking spot is over. With websites and mobile apps it’s now easier than ever to find and pay for parking spaces.

Mobile parking apps like ParkMobile offer a smart way to find city parking with ease.

ParkMobile specifically provides users with a simple option to reserve, find and pay for off-street and on-street parking from a smartphone.

    5. Plan Around the Peak Rush Hours & Congested Traffic Zones

If you are going to take on an inner-city commute, make sure that you make your plans around the traffic zones and the peak hours of traffic in your city.

The great thing about technology is that it has made inner-city commuting dramatically easier. Google Traffic provides real-time traffic conditions while Google Maps shows locations of congested traffic zones as well as how to get to your destination using public transportation.

Although inner-city commutes can be challenging and stressful, by being proactive and taking ownership of your day, you can mitigate the toll by employing creative, healthy ways to get from point A to point B.

You will be much healthier, happier, and more relaxed if you can get to and from work without being constantly stuck in the worst of your city’s traffic.
