How to install iOS 27 on your iPhone or iPad

In this quick step-by-step tutorial, we explain how you can download and install the newest iOS 27 developer beta on your iPhone and iPadOS 27 on your iPad.

Apple announced the successor of iOS 26 at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 8, 2026.

iOS 27 focuses heavily on improvements to Siri and Apple Intelligence, implementing features showcased a couple of years ago during iOS 18’s announcement. It also adds a new Siri AI app that works much like other AI chatbots, like ChatGPT, and also keeps your Siri AI conversations in one place.

iOS 27 has a ton of small but life-improving upgrades, including 30% faster app launches, up to 80% faster AirDrop transfers, the ability to adjust the Liquid Glass look, improved Spotlight Search, enhanced AI image-generation tools, and more.

As of writing, iOS 27 is in its initial beta phase and is intended only for app developers. But if you want to get it now, you can easily do that.

I have been using iOS 27 on both my iPhones and iPadOS 27 on my iPad Pro. It seems very stable, and all my banking apps work as well.

But before you go further, I would recommend installing iOS 27 on a secondary device if you have one. If not, here are some backup tips to consider:

    Supported devices

iOS 27 supports all the same models as iOS 26. This means you can install it on iPhone 11 and later.

However, on the iPad side of things, iPadOS 27 drops support for some older models, namely iPad mini (5th generation), iPad (8th generation), iPad Air (3rd generation), iPad Pro 11-inch (1st generation), and iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation).

Get iOS 27 on your iPhone

Follow these steps if you have ever used the developer beta in the past. The process is identical for iPadOS 27.

    1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap General > Software Update.
    2. Wait for your iPhone to check for updates. Then, tap Beta Updates.
    3. Select iOS 27 Developer Beta, and tap the back button (<) to return to the previous screen.
    4. Wait for the iOS 27 developer beta to appear. Then, tap the Update button to download and install it.

Installing iOS 27 developer beta on iPhone

If you don’t see the option to select iOS 27 Developer Beta on the software update screen, that means your Apple Account is not marked as a developer in Apple’s system, as you have never enrolled in the developer program in the past.

Enrolling is free and simple, as we have explained in detail in our previous posts on getting iOS 26 and iOS 18. To recap, just visit developer.apple.com/account and register with the same Apple Account you use on your iPhone.

If that doesn’t work, download the free Apple Developer app and sign in using your Apple Account. Then wait a few minutes, restart your iPhone, and you should see the option to download the iOS 27 developer beta.

Will you be installing iOS 27 developer beta on your iPhone now or wait for the public beta or the full release in the fall?

Apple Intelligence and Siri AI could add $75-$100 to Apple stock – Wedbush

Wedbush Securities’ top analyst Daniel Ives remains highly bullish on Apple following the company’s WWDC 2026 keynote. In a new note, Ives reiterated his “Outperform” (Buy) rating and $400 price target, arguing that Apple’s refreshed AI strategy — highlighted by the new Siri AI plus deeper and better Apple Intelligence features — could add $75 to $100 per share to AAPL over time, a catalyst he believes the market has yet to fully price in.

    TipRanks:

Ives said Apple’s new AI strategy, which includes the launch of Siri AI and the deeper Apple Intelligence features, marks a turning point for the company as it works to close the gap with other AI leaders. In his view, the market is still undervaluing Apple’s AI monetization potential, especially through its services and future hardware cycles.

According to Ives, Apple’s AI push could ultimately add $75 to $100 per share to the stock over time. He called this year’s WWDC “a good step in the right direction” as Apple begins to show how AI will be built into the iPhone, Mac, and services ecosystem…

Interestingly, Ives ranks 416 out of more than 12,200 analysts tracked by TipRanks [in the 96.59th percentile]. He has an overall success rate of 93% on AAPL stock, with an average return per rating of 18.95% over a one-year timeframe.

The market doesn’t get it, yet, but it will soon enough.
