Lumon Industries “innies” from the Apple TV+ show “Severance” locked in a glass box in NYC’s Grand Central Terminal
Apple TV+ has installed a glass cube in New York City’s Grand Central Terminal with Lumon-style desks and “employees” ahead of Severance’s return.
The staged marketing pop-up has employees “working” in the makeshift office space on retro-style computers from the show, unfazed by passersby. It looks like a classic scene from the popular Apple TV+ show “Severance.” Director Ben Stiller and some cast members were spotted as well. This is just great marketing!
The promotional experience was designed to drum up excitement ahead of the show’s second season, which will start streaming on Apple TV+ soon.
MacRumors reports that the whole thing ran for more than two and a half hours, “and the actors behaved as if they were actually at work at Lumon Industries,” including doing yoga, playing catch, throwing paper airplanes, sipping coffee, and so on.
“Severance” season two streaming on January 17
Apple has confirmed that the second season of “Severance” will start streaming this Friday, January 17, 2025, with ten new episodes.

If you haven’t watched “Severance” yet, it’s one of the best shows on Apple TV+. Created by Dan Erickson and directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle, it’s a psychological thriller series about the fictional corporation Lumon Industries and its employee Mark Scout, played by Adam Scott, who agrees to a “severance” procedure which surgically separated his work memories from his private memories.
In the second season, Mark and his office friends learn ”the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe,” according to Apple’s blurb.

The first season aired almost three years ago. Like many other Hollywood productions,” Severance” was affected by the pandemic and the writers’ strike, so the wait for the second season was much longer than expected.
“Severance” is one of the best-reviewed Apple TV+ shows, and this marketing pop-up cleverly reminds fans of the upcoming second season.
