Vision Pro will hit South Korea and the United Arab Emirates on November 15
Apple has announced that its Vision Pro headset will be available to order in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates on November 15.
Apple’s marketing honcho Greg Joswiak made the announcement on his X account. “We’re excited that customers in a dozen countries and regions will get to immerse themselves in the world of spatial computing,” he wrote.
Vision Pro pre-orders via Apple’s online store and the Apple Store app will go live in South Korea on Monday, November 4, at 10am local time and 5am local time in the United Arab Emirates. Local prices start at 4,990,000 won (about $3624) in South Korea and AED 13,999 (about $3811) in the United Arab Emirates. By comparison, Vision Pro starts at $3500 in the United States.
Apple will offer models with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage capacities, like in other countries. The headset will start shipping in both countries on Friday, November 15, the same day it’ll be available in Apple’s local brick-and-mortar stores. “Customers will be able to book a 30-minute demo of Vision Pro online,” Apple notes. “More information about demos will be shared when pre-orders open.”

Vision Pro is for early adopters
Apple’s products are popular in the United Arab Emirates, especially in Dubai, the city of gold, so this move will expand Vision Pro’s footprint. The headset has not sold well by Apple’s standards since its February 2024 debut in the United States due to its high price and lack of compelling content, apps and use cases.
Of course, no one knows Apple’s sales target for Vision Pro outside of Apple. Even CEO Tim Cook admitted in a recent interview with Ben Cohen of the Wall Street Journal that Vision Pro is restricted to early adopters due to its high price.
“At $3,500, it’s not a mass-market product,” said Cook. “Right now, it’s an early-adopter product. People who want to have tomorrow’s technology today—that’s who it’s for. Fortunately, there are enough people who are in that camp that it’s exciting.” Apple is said to be developing a cheaper headset for release sometime in 2025.
