LeminLimez releases Nugget v4.0 with Intel Mac support other improvements
Monday was a big day for Apple, not only because the company released major software updates for each of its platforms, but also because they were able to refresh the iMac desktop all-in-one computer with a technical bump and new configuration options, among other things.
But behind the scenes, iOS developer LeminLimez was doing something else: improving upon Nugget, the SparseRestore exploit-based device customization tool that runs on macOS and Windows computers. In fact, they updated the tool to version 4.0, noting that it was a “pretty big update” in the Cowabunga Discord channel.
Getting right into the meat and potatoes of this update, Nugget v4.0 introduces the following changes:
Features:
– Support for iOS 18.1 beta 5+ and iOS 17.7.1 with Cowabunga Lite’s skip setup
– Added custom mobile gestalt keys! Use this at your own risk, it can be very dangerous.
– You can now select which device you want to spoof to for AI Enabler
– Added button to reset device pairing (use this if you have issues applying)
– Added the ability to disable auto rebooting
– Device build number now shows
– Feature Flags and EU Enabler are now hidden on unsupported versions
– macOS Intel build (thanks @SerStars for making the GitHub workflow)
– Deprecatedfix-minimuxer.py
andcli_app.py
Bug Fixes:
– It now saves the device model to try to make reverting spoofing better
– Improved error messages/handling
– Fixed crash on launch when dependencies are missing (Windows and Linux)
– Fixed settings options not saving
– Minor other fixes with device management
As you can probably tell, this is a significant update because it officially adds support for Intel Macs and includes support for the iOS 18.1 beta 5 and 17.7.1 builds with Cowabunga Lite’s skip setup. The update also introduces a slew of smaller new features and integrates important bug fixes that address device stability under different circumstances.
Existing users of the Nugget device customization utility are urged to download and install the latest version at their earliest convenience to take advantage of all the bug fixes and improvements in this release. Those with Intel Macs may even want to give it a try for the first time, considering it was Apple Silicon-only for the longest time.
It’s worth noting for those who’ve been following the project that LeminLimez will be exclusively working on Nugget, as they’ve pretty much given up on the Nugget Mobile project following abuse from certain members of the community. That said, Nugget is the path forward if you wanted to take advantage of the SparseRestore exploit on your device.
Nugget is available from the developer’s GitHub repository for free and works on iOS 17.0 and later, all the way up to 18.1 beta 5 and 17.7.1.
