We are a little late, but we are here and ready to rock with this week’s Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have some great picks for you, including a friendship tracker, a digital trophy maker, and an AI app that turns your music ideas into bangers. And as always, we’ve selected an awesome game for you to check out.

SoonCall friendship tracker

As indicated by the title, SoonCall is an app that helps you keep track of when you last [really] spoke to close friends and family members. We aren’t talking about liking social media posts or sending funny GIFs—it’s when was the last time you spoke to them on the phone (or in person) for more than a moment and asked how they were doing? SoonCall includes a calendar tool, reminders for things like birthdays and other key dates, and tracking data so you can see at a glance who you need to check in with. Look, if this app does nothing other than remind you to check in on people you care about, it’s worth downloading. Check in with your people, man.

Moimoi – Your Personal Cards

I would love to know what kind of drugs these developers were on when they came up with this idea. “What if you could, like, track your whole life in cards, man?” Joking aside, there really could be something here. Moimoi allows you to make cards for displaying information on a lot of things, including Twitter and YouTube stats, and in that sense, you could see them becoming sort of like digital trophies. There is no clear roadmap here—I don’t know if you can trade cards or easily embed them into your social media profiles. Funny enough, there is a Meet & Greet section of the app that appears to encourage real-life meetups. Ok, so maybe don’t do that, but with cool graphics and a unique concept, this seems like a solid app to check out this weekend.

Suno – Make and Explore Music

Have you ever seen one of those funny or super accurate AI song videos and wondered how it was made? This app does it. Suno lets you turn your ideas into music, simply by typing them in a text box and tapping Create! You can add your own vocals, explore other AI songs and get inspired, curate playlists of Sino-made music, share your own music, and more. As with all things creative AI, this is a pay-as-you-go thing. You get 50 free credits per day, and if you want more than that, you’ll have to pay. Plans start at $10/month.

Dominion

What a cool name. Dominion. It’s like Madonna or Seal. Anyway, this is the official mobile version of the popular board game that is beloved by millions of people. I know this isn’t the first iteration—there was an unofficial iOS game for a long time, and then there was one made by Making Fun, but this is a newer rendition, and it is fantastic. Seriously, there is so much here that it would take forever to write up. Just know it is free-to-play; you get the basic deck for free and you get a lot of opportunities to try out the expansion decks before buying them, and this game has a 5-star App Store rating on nearly 2K ratings. Even if you hate strategy card games, this one is impressive enough to check out this weekend.
