How to replace or remove the flashlight and camera icons on your iPhone Lock Screen
Learn how to remove or replace the flashlight and camera shortcuts on the iPhone Lock Screen with other app shortcuts of your choosing, such as Translate, Calculator, Apple TV Remote, Shazam, Cellular Data, Voice Memo, Wallet, and more.
iOS 18 brings a lot of customization features! It introduces notable changes to the Home Screen, like changing the app icon color, placing the app icons anywhere on the screen, and removing the text labels under app icons. Control Center has also received a huge visual and functional revamp.
In addition to these, one of the most sought-after features was changing the two quick toggles on the iOS Lock Screen. While the flashlight icon has always been handy, the camera button is redundant as you can simply launch the camera by swiping left on the Lock Screen.

Remove or change the flashlight and camera buttons on your iPhone Lock Screen
1) Wake up your iPhone, make sure Face ID unlocks your phone, and then touch and hold somewhere on the Lock Screen. You can also go inside your iPhone, swipe down to get to the Notification Center, and then touch and hold to enter editing mode.
2) Tap Customize.
3) Select Lock Screen.
4) To remove one or both of these icons, tap the minus button and then hit Done from the upper right corner.
5) To change these toggles to something else, tap the minus button and then tap the plus icon. Now, select one of the available actions and tap Done.
If you select the Open App shortcut, remember to choose the app you want to open. Similarly, if you select the Shortcuts option, you will be prompted to pick one of your Siri Shortcuts. These options seem very buggy in the initial iOS 18 developer beta. But when it works, tap Choose and select an app or shortcut.
Remember that, like Lock Screen widgets, the customizations you make to the flashlight and camera toggles are also tied to that particular Lock Screen.
