Delta emulator app updated with new icon following Adobe legal threat

Delta, the insanely popular emulator app for iPhones and iPads that recently became available in the App Store following an Apple policy change, received an important update on Friday to keep the app’s developer out of some legal hot water…

According to a post shared via the @altstoreio account on X (formerly Twitter), tech company Adobe threatened legal action due to similarities in the Delta app’s logo and Adobe’s own logo. For this reason, Delta now has an updated app icon, featuring the top of the logo now being canted 30º to the right.

The Delta team credits @1CarolineMoore for the design of the new icon.

It blows my mind that Adobe suddenly takes issue with the Delta logo given just how the app has been available as a sideloadable emulator app, but only recently received major attention due to gaining access to the App Store. Could Adobe simply be trying to sponge off the publicity? Perhaps…

Version 1.5.4 of the Delta game emulator app not only includes this new app icon, but also appears to introduce the following changes:

– Revised context menu for games
– Fixed exporting save file without file extension
– Fixed broken melonDS FAQ link

If you’re already using the Delta emulator app, then you can get the latest version by opening the App Store on your iPhone or iPad and refreshing the Updates tab. Alternatively, you can give Delta a try by visiting the App Store, where it’s available as a free download.
