Apple might bring colors to its MagSafe iPhone charger, release horizontal Magic Charger stand
Apple’s magnetic charger for the iPhone might be offered in colors other than the standard silver as the company has prototyped a colorized MagSafe charger.

Apple might add color options to its MagSafe charger
This is based on findings by an Apple collector who uses the Twitter account @KosutamiSan. According to them, the Cupertino tech giant has created at least one prototype of the MagSafe charger in a rose goldish-like color.
The poster speculates that the Cupertino giant intends to release the MagSafe charger in a “colored version” resembling the color-matched MagSafe charging cables that Apple bundles with the MacBook Air.

The poster shared an image of what appears to be a version of the MagSafe charger in the shade Apple calls Starlight. The color is similar to the MagSafe charging cable in Starlight for the MacBook Air but more saturated.
The MacBook Air is offered in Space Gray, Silver, Midnight and Starlight, with a color-matched MagSafe charging cable included in the box with the laptop.
Magic Charger stand
Apple also prototyped a dedicated MagSafe-stand for the iPhone, dubbed Magic Charger. This is similar to the standard MagSafe charger, but with horizontal instead of vertical layout. It appears to be designed as a nightstand, to charge an iPhone in landscape orientation overnight.
Curiously, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently reported that Apple could bring a nightstand-like mode with iOS 17 that would permit an iPhone to display glanceable information like the weather, news and calendar when in landscape mode.

The iPhone maker has contributed its MagSafe specification to the new Qi2 protocol for wireless charging. It’s also updated some of the terms in its Made for MagSafe certification so that Qi2 chargers could charge the upcoming iPhone 15 models at double the speed instead of being software-limited to 7.5W.
