Apple Maps gains custom 3D landmarks for Philadelphia locations like 30th Street Station
Apple Maps now shows 3D landmarks in Philadelphia, allowing iPhone, iPad and Mac users to view custom 3D objects when exploring such locations as One Liberty Place.

Apple Maps now shows 3D landmarks in Philadelphia
You can explore three-dimensional objects of major landmarks for any supported location in the city of Philadelphia, which currently includes the following places:
- Fisher Fine Arts Library
- 30th Street Station
- One Liberty Place
- Philadelphia City Hall
- Philadelphia Museum of Art
Simply start exploring the city in Maps to appreciate these 3D landmarks, which are part of Apple’s deeper push with the Maps service in terms of mapping the world.
In September 2021, Apple announced new 3D navigation and exploration features for the Maps app on iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and macOS Monterey. The addition of three-dimensional objects for compatible locations is part of that effort.
Apple’s iOS and iPadOS Feature Availability webpage currently lists Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia and the San Francisco Bay area as the cities where Maps displays 3D landmarks. The iPhone maker is working on other enhancements for Maps, too.
New features for Maps users in Australia and Germany
In Australia, for instance, the company recently rolled out its much more detailed maps.
Aside from showing detailed roads, buildings, parks, airports, shopping centers and more, Maps enhancements across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and CarPlay include access to new features such as Look Around, speed cameras, Share ETA and more.
Users in Germany, meanwhile, recently gained the ability to report incidents on Maps.
