The MagSafe Wallet is the most polarizing Apple accessory for the latest iPhone 12 family that takes advantage of built-in magnets. You’ve probably seen some negative reviews online and complains about this case. Our own Harris Craycraft has ran into several issues on day one and was confused by a few aspects of this case. But when he actually started using it, it became clear to him what Apple was trying to achieve with this wallet accessory. We though you might like to learn more about why Harris changed his initial opinion about the MagSafe Wallet after spending just a few days using it.

The case supports up to three cards and is shielded so it’s mostly safe for credit cards, but more on that in our hands-on video walkthrough.

And now, without further ado, watch our videographer Harris Craycraft explain why everybody is wrong about the MagSafe Wallet.

Made from specially tanned and finished European leather — the same high-quality material used for other leather cases from Apple — this case was designed as the perfect way to keep your ID and credit cards close at hand, thanks to MagSafe technology.

Some RFID cards may not work with this case, like Harris’ student card

Thanks to built-in magnets, the case effortlessly snaps into place on the back of your iPhone with perfect alignment. According to Apple, you can even stack this case on top of the company’s clear, silicone or leather case with MagSafe “to create a look that’s unique to you.”

The MagSafe Wallet is available from Apple.com, Amazon and other retailers. The case is priced at $59 and available in Baltic Blue, California Poppy, Saddle Brown and Black.
