How to copy website links of all open tabs in Safari
Find out how to quickly copy the URLs of all currently open websites in Safari on iPhone, iPad, and Mac so you don’t have to copy them one by one.
Whether you’re browsing Amazon on Mac and have opened a bunch of product tabs that you need to share via Messages or have several tabs open for your research work that you want to add to your document, you can simplify this process by copying all open website addresses in one go.
As a result, you won’t have to manually copy each open link, paste it, and then repeat this process back and forth for the remaining tabs. A couple of clicks and all open URLs will be copied to your device’s clipboard for pasting into other apps.
On Mac
- Make sure you have the relevant tabs open on Safari for macOS.
- Click the sidebar icon in the top left corner of the window. You can also press the Shift + Command + L to show the sidebar.
- Right-click over the profile or Tab Group name and choose Copy Links. All URLs of open tabs will be copied to your Mac’s clipboard.
Now go to Notes, Messages, Mail, Pages, Word, or another app, and paste the links there. When using Command + V to paste in an app that supports rich formatting, you’ll notice that the website name with the URL linked to it is pasted (block 1 in the screenshot). But if you use Command + Option + Shift + V to paste without formatting, or paste them normally in an app like Messages, you’ll have both the website name and the full URL in plain text (block 2 in the screenshot).
On iPhone
- Open Safari and go to the All Tabs view. You can do this by tapping the three dots menu icon and selecting All Tabs. Alternatively, swipe up from the bottom URL bar and hold to see all open website tabs as tiles.
- Tap the three dots menu icon from the top and select Copy N Links to get all links in the clipboard. Note that pinned tab links are not copied.
- You can also touch and hold the Tab Group name and select Copy N Links.
Paste the copied links in Notes, Messages, or other apps.
On iPad
In addition to the All Tabs iPhone method above, you can also copy links from the Safari sidebar on iPad. This is similar to how it’s done on Mac.
- With websites open in Safari on your iPad, tap the sidebar icon in the top left corner.
- Touch and hold the N Tab or Tab Group name and select Copy Links.
Instead of copying the URLs of all open websites, you can also bookmark them all in one go. Here are some of our related helpful tutorials on this topic:
