You can now stream Apple Music radio stations on TuneIn

Starting today, all six human-curated radio stations that are hosted on Apple Music are available to listen to on TuneIn for free, without commercials.

The following radio stations hosted by live DJs like Zane Lowe and others are now available on TuneIn: Apple Music 1 (formerly Beats 1), Apple Music Hits, Apple Music Country, Apple Música Uno, Apple Music Club, and Apple Music Chill.

These stations are available to listen without advertising or a Premium subscription across the TuneIn mobile apps, TuneIn.com and devices where TuneIn is available natively, such as smart speakers, headphones and automotive brands like Tesla.

You must tap a link in the mobile app or on TuneIn’s website to log in with your Apple Music credentials and give TuneIn permission to stream Apple Music Radio. Or, access the Music section within the TuneIn settings to set this up.

The partnership includes calls to action in the TuneIn mobile app and website, asking TuneIn users to subscribe to Apple Music for the full experience. With more than 75 million monthly active users, TuneIn is the right place for Apple to try to attract people to subscribe to Apple Music.

• Apple Music Country: The definitive home for every lane of country music, celebrating today’s stars, introducing tomorrow’s, and honoring the legends who shaped the genre.
• Apple Música Uno: A celebration of Latin music’s diversity, from reggaetón to Música Mexicana, with hosts, artists, music programming that spotlight what’s new, now, and moving culture worldwide.
• Apple Music Club: A 24/7 home for dance and electronic music, curating global DJ mixes and club culture, from festivals to the underground.
• Apple Music Chill: A sanctuary of sound designed for calm and reflection, offering a continuous flow of chill tracks and mindful moments across genres.

The partnership marks the first time Apple has made these radio stations available outside Apple Music. Other radio stations on Apple Music that are created algorithmically are not available through this integration.

The move comes at a time when Apple Music has lost ground to Spotify. The latest MIDiA Research data cited by The Wall Street Journal estimates that Apple Music’s share of digital music subscribers in the United States has dropped from 30 percent in 2020 to 25 percent at the end of 2024. During the same period, Spotify’s share has jumped from 31 percent to 37 percent. Also, Apple’s share has fallen globally, too, to 12 percent from 16 percent since 2020.
