Apple Wallet: How to turn off marketing notifications for special offers, deals and promotions

Learn how to turn off notifications from Apple’s Wallet on your iPhone for marketing messages such as promotions, discounts and special offers.
Apple has leveraged the built-in Wallet app on the iPhone to push unsolicited marketing messages, such as F1 movie ticket offers through partner Fandango, as well as special deals and discounts from itself and its partners. On iOS 18 and earlier, you can stop these messages by turning off notifications for the Wallet app; however, this approach is somewhat overreaching, as it also disables useful messages, such as Apple Pay transaction confirmations.
iOS 26 has addressed this with a new setting within the Wallet app that specifically opts you out of these types of marketing messages without affecting other notifications produced by the Wallet app. Follow along as we show you how to turn off notifications for promotions, discounts and special offers from the Wallet app.
iOS 26: How to turn off promotional Wallet notifications
Marketing notifications for special offers and promotions in the Wallet app are turned on by default. To opt out, you must manually turn them off within the Wallet app.
1) Open the Wallet app on your iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
2) Tap the three-dotted icon in the top-right corner and choose “Notifications” in the menu.
3) In the section titled “In-Wallet Messaging”, slide the switch “Offers & Promotions” to the OFF position.
Doing so will stop all marketing messages from the Wallet app. According to the feature’s description, the app will no longer show you “notifications about special offers and discounts available from Apple and its partners.”
Got a promo today from @Apple in the Wallet app about F1: The Movie.
Not sure system apps are the right place for ads-even for something this cool.

As mentioned, it’s not possible to disable these promotional notifications in Wallet on iOS 18 and earlier versions without turning off all notifications for Wallet in the Settings app, including potentially important alerts about payments and other financial transactions.
Other Wallet messaging toggles
There’s also another toggle labeled “New Features & Updates” for toggling notifications regarding new features in the Wallet app, as Apple releases them. Other switches in the “In-Wallet Messaging” section let you turn order notifications on or off for shipping and delivery updates, as well as manage notifications for pre-authorized payments such as subscriptions and recurring charges.
Do more with Wallet
Apple has turned Wallet from a simple app for securely storing your credit and debit cards for Apple Pay into a powerful app piece of software that also holds your digital passes, coupons, reward cards, loyalty cards, digital keys, digital driver’s license or state IDs, your Apple account card, and more.

You can quickly add an NFC-enabled credit or debit card to the Wallet app by tapping it on the iPhone’s back, thanks to a feature called Tap to Provision. And sometimes later this year, iPhone owners in the United States will be able to view their PayPal balance when using their PayPal debit card from within the Wallet app.
