Apple to release the new fitness-focused Powerbeats Fit earbuds this fall

Apple has teased the new Powerbeats Fit earbuds, which appear to be the belated follow-up to the Beats Fit Pro that were released nearly four years ago.

Apple teased the upcoming earbuds in a teaser video published to the official Beats by Dre YouTube channel today, pitching them as “fit for every move.”

The video reveals little, if anything, in terms of features, but it’s safe to assume that these earbuds will inherit many of the same features found in the four-year-old Beats Fit Pro, which were released in November 2021, and the Powerbeats Pro.

These would include (I’m just speculating here) active noise cancellation with transparency mode, adaptive EQ and Apple’s H2 audio chip, which would unlock benefits such as higher-quality audio and microphone improvements.

The video depicts stylish earbuds featuring a compact in-ear design and what looks like a silicone wingtip to secure them in the ear. As these earbuds appear to be fitness-focused, it’s also safe to assume they’d be sweat-proof at the very least, if not waterproof. I would also bet on heart rate monitoring, a feature that first appeared on the Powerbeats Pro 2, which were released in February 2025.

According to the video, the Powerbeats Fit are “coming fall 2025.” Apple is scheduled to unveil the iPhone 17 and other new products at the upcoming “Awe dropping” event on September 9. The company may officially announce the Powerbeats Fit at the event but start selling them two weeks later, on September 23, the day after the first day of the fall.
