The next Apple Watch fitness challenge is on Valentine’s Day
The next Apple Watch fitness challenge requires you to close your exercise rings on Valentine’s Day to earn a virtual medal and animated stickers.
The next fitness challenge for Apple Watch owners will be officially issued on Valentine’s Day, February 14, in celebration of American Heart Month, when US citizens are urged to raise their awareness of heart and blood vessel diseases.
Apple challegnes you to complete a workout to fill your activity rings on Friday, February 14. This is an international challenge, and the company will ping all Apple Watch owners with a wrist notification at least a day or two before Valentine’s Day.

The notification will read, “Show your heart some love! Close your Exercise ring this Valentine’s Day, February 14, to earn this award.” You can use the built Workout app to log exercises or any third-party app that writes data into the Health app.
If you complete this challenge, you’ll earn a virtual medal in the Awards section of the Fitness app on your iPhone and animated stickers you can use in your iMessage chats and FaceTime video calls.
Apple typically issues fitness challenges around culturally important events and annual celebrations, and Heart Month is no exception. In years past, there were regular fitness challenges on Valentine’s Day and in celebration of Heart Month.
If history is an indication, Apple may also choose to honor this year’s Heart Month with a curated selection of apps, shows, podcasts and books in the App Store, TV, Podcasts and Books apps. For further information about American Heart Month, visit the National Institutes of Health website.
