The company’s latest $170 Pump X over-ear headphones are equipped with 40mm dynamic drivers. They are sweat and moisture-resistant, sport tactile touch controls on the right ear for easy volume and playback control and ship with swappable cooling gel ear pads that conduct the heat away from your ear during sweaty workouts and memory foam ear pads that mould to the shape of your ear.

Pump X use Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connections, but they can also work in wired mode over USB-C, in which case they’ll sound even better.

Active noise cancellation (35dB) on the headphones uses four microphones and two speakers to reduce external noise by inverting the soundwaves, similar to AirPods. They also have a transparency mode that lets outside sound in while active noise cancellation is turned on, letting you hear what you need to hear—situational awareness matters while listening to music and working out in a crowded gym.
With active noise cancellation turned on, Pump X will run for 34 hours before you’ll need to recharge them. Without the feature turned off, however, you get a massive 58-hour battery life. A quick 10-minute charge is enough to give Pump X four hours of playback with active noise cancellation turned on or six hours without it.
BlueAnt ships these headphones with two types of swappable cushioned ear pads in the box: the everyday ear pads designed for general use and the cooling gel ear pads designed for grueling gym sessions that help reduce heat build-up and keep your ears cool.
