Shipments is an AI-integrated package tracking manager app for iPhone iPad

As someone who ships and receives packages from various carriers frequently, I’ve always valued apps that allow me to see all my deliveries in one convenient place. I’ve used a lot of these apps over the years, jumping from one to another because some gimmick or other reason. But today, I’m excited to share a new tracking app called Shipments.

I previously used the Deliveries app, but when the app developer stopped fully supporting in-app FedEx tracking, I switched to its biggest competitor: Parcel. But with Shipments, I feel like I’m getting a little more than an overview of all my incoming and outgoing tracking numbers, which makes it that much more exciting to use.

One of Shipments’ strongest selling points is the powerful AI integration, which can give users powerful delivery insights about their packages. When opening a tracking number in the app, the AI insight will give you a rundown of what’s going on with the package, such as when it’s expected to deliver, the most recent activity, and whether it’s running late or not.

The AI insight appears just under the map, which utilizes waypoints in Apple’s own Maps interface to connect the dots between the scan locations through which your package travels. Underneath all that, you’ll see a full timeline complete with each individual scan the carrier has made, including the location and time of each scan.

As you might come to expect from a premium delivery-tracking app, Shipments supports live notifications for all tracking numbers you’ve added to the app. These update as quickly as the carrier’s server can push delivery updates, and as such, you’re always informed about what’s going on with your packages without having to continuously open an app and refresh your deliveries.

Shipments supports iCloud integration, so you can add your tracking numbers into the app on one device and view them on another. As you enter tracking numbers, the app automatically detects the correct carrier and allows you to designate a nickname for the package to make it easier for you to identify.

Moreover, you can add an unlimited quantity of tracking numbers, assuming you’ve paid for the premium subscription first. And speaking of adding tracking numbers, you can either enter the tracking number manually or you can scan a shipping label’s barcode with your camera to save some time.

With support for more than 1,200 shipping carriers worldwide, including some of the biggest ones like USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon Logistics, OnTrac, Canada Post, Australia Post, and others, you can use this app no matter where you are and no matter who you trust your packages to.

You can download the Shipments app for free from the App Store and track at least one package at a time at no cost, but if you’d like access to unlimited tracking numbers, then you’ll need to pay for a premium subscription. A monthly subscription is $5.99, while a yearly subscription is $34.99, which you can purchase as an in-app purchase once downloaded.

Shipments has replaced all other delivery apps on my iPhone and iPad because it not only gives me all the same information as other apps I was already paying a monthly fee for, but also because it integrates AI-esque features that make the app seem more streamlined than all the rest. It’s something that’s at least worth trying, even if you only test the app in its free form and track one package at a time.
