If you’re into financial news, the new finance-focused CNBC+ streaming service is now available but the subscription plans offered are incredibly costly.

CNBC unusually announced CNBC+ in an email to its existing digital subscribers on New Year’s Day, Variety reported. The news network wants to appeal to cord-cutters and the TikTok generation but the service comes with a hefty price tag for viewers.

The flagship All Access plan with access to CNBC’s investing club led by Jim Cramer will set you back $600/year and you must pay it in full instead of month-to-month!

You can sign up for CNBC+ at the CNBC website or via the official iOS and Android apps available on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.

The CNBC+ streaming service launches with pricey plans

At the very least, CNBC+ will run you $15/month for the entry-level plan, which unlocks a global livestream with financial news covering markets in the United States, the United Kingdom and Asia, the ability to stream full episodes on demand, a market data stream, watchlists and advanced charting.

The Pro plan expands on the above features with the My Portfolio feature and additional stock ratings and stock picks for $35/month or $300/year.
The Investing Club tier is for folks who are only interested in stocks and don’t care about financial news. It brings all Jim Cramer content, watchlists and advanced charting but nothing else for $50/month or $400/year. If you’re interested, you can sign up for CNBC+ at cnbc.com/subscribe/cnbcplus. There’s no free trial available.

Remember CNN+?

News is a commodity these days so it remains to be seen if enough people are willing to pay for a streaming service focused on financial news. I have my doubts; Warner Bros. Discovery launched its CNN+ service in March 2022 and nixed it just a few weeks later due to low interest.

If you subscribe to a lot of apps and services, it can be difficult to keep track of the ones you actually use. To help you save some money, we’ve compiled useful tips for keeping your subscriptions in check.
