14 airlines have adopted Apple’s Share Item Location feature

Apple’s Share Item Location feature for lost luggage tracking has picked up support from British Airways and other airlines.

MacRumors posted the full list of airlines that have adopted the Share Item Location feature, which includes United, Delta, British Airways, Lufthansa, Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Turkish Airlines, Aer Lingus, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Airlines, Eurowings and Iberia Airlines.

The feature will gain support from additional airlines soon, including Qantas, Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Participating airlines have updated their internal processes and trained staff to act accordingly when lust luggage has been found through this feature.

Apple’s Share Item Location feature gains support from more airlines

Apple announced this feature in November 2024, saying iPhone owners can share the location of their AirTag or compatible third-party tracker via links, which is particularly convenient for lost luggage on airlines.

It also permits you to generate a secure link that opens a page with the location of an AirTag or Find My network accessory. You can share the link with a friend to help you find the lost time. The link automatically expires once the item has been found or after sever days, and you can see who viewing the link.

The Share Item Location feature is available in the Find My app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac with iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2.
