Upcoming Satechi hub brings legacy ports and SSD expansion to the new M4 Mac mini
Satechi’s upcoming stand and hub will enhance your M4 Mac mini with three USB-A ports, a front-facing SD card slot and up to 4TB of external storage.
When Satechi unveiled its Mac mini Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure in November 2019, we praised its utilitarian design and versatility. You put your Mac mini on this sleek hub, then and connect it to the computer via the integrated USB-C cable.
In January 2024, Satechi released a version with an integrated NVMe SSD enclosure. And now, the company has previewed the new Mac Mini M4 Stand & Hub with SSD Enclosure designed for Apple’s latest, much smaller M4 Mac mini.
The accessory will elevate your M4 Mac mini while giving it a plethora of front-facing ports, enhancing your connectivity options. And how about an integrated NVMe enclosure letting you expand your Mac mini storage via an external SSD up to 4TB?

The M4 Mac mini only has USB-C and Thunderbolt ports, so Satechi’s new stand adds three USB-A legacy ports. Another missing port it revives is an SD card slot, also positioned on the front for quick access. According to Satechi, the hub does not interfere with Wi-Fi or the new airflow system on the M4 Mac mini.
There’s also an NVMe enclosure for expanding your Mac mini storage with an external SSD up to 4TB in size and 10Gbps transfer speeds, so you don’t have to pay Apple’s exorbitant storage upgrade prices. Satechi will also offer a version without an NVMe enclosure for those who don’t need it.
Pricing and availability
