Wrapping up

As usual, the cheapest iMac cuts some corners to make it more affordable, such as fewer configuration options, a Magic Keyboard without Touch ID, only two Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of four, less external display support, the lack of a Nano-texture glass option, and a slower M4 chip, among other things.

If you’re thinking about getting the 2024 iMac with M4 chip, then we might recommend skipping the $1,299 model and upgrading right to the $1,499 model to get all the added bells and whistles. For some people, having double the ports makes all the difference.

Are you going to be getting one of these new iMacs?
