The weekend is finally here, and you know what that means: it’s time for another edition of our Apps of the Week roundup! This week we have some great picks for you, including a minimal app launcher, a creative app for vision and dream boards, and a clipboard keyboard extension. And as always, we’ve selected a fun game for you to check out.

Lite: Minimal App Launcher

If the public launch of iOS 18 has you wanting to start majorly tweaking your Home Screen UI, check this out. It’s called Lite, and as the title suggests, it’s a minimal app launcher designed to help you create a distraction-free interface. There are several widgets to choose from, you can customize which apps are included, and of course it supports the latest version of iOS. I know other utilities like this exist, but now you can add this to the stack of options, and it seems like a fun thing to play around with this weekend.

Creativit: Mood Board & Vision

Have you been wanting a new vision board app? How about a mood board? Dream board? Lucky for you, Creativit is all of these things in one. Seriously. It bills itself as a single workspace for all of your creative projects, with support for text, link, image, file, and task content types. There are sort, filter, and folder options to help you organize everything, and beautiful widgets to choose from. It’s really just a beautiful app in general, and it sounds awesome on paper, but I think you have to really go hands-on with it to tell if it’s going to be of any use to you.

Copied – Clipboard Keyboard

This is another utility where I know others like it already exist, but you forget about them, so you see it and go, “Hey, that’s pretty cool.” Copied is a keyboard for your clipboard, or rather, a clipboard for your keyboard. Anyway, it’s a keyboard extension that lets you quickly access a list of copied items, expand auto-text abbreviations into longer phrases, remap special characters or text to the keyboard, and more. You also get support for dynamic content, such as the current date/time, folders and templates, and it syncs to all of your devices via iCloud. Copy that—oh new app name, called it!

Planet Tactics!

Planet Tactics, dive into the cosmos! I don’t know why, but this has a 90’s ad jingle rhythm to it. Planet Tactics! DIVE-into-the-COSMOS. Anyway, this is a minimalist strategy game, inspired by the likes of Risk and Network Wars, set in the vastness of outer space. Your mission is to outmaneuver your opponent and claim every planet in the quadrant. There are various game modes—Regular, Mini, Mega, and Versus—and they range from quick campaigns to longer strategic sessions. Plan-et tac-tics, check-it-out-this-weekend!
