LG Streaming Week promotion offers 3-month free trials of Apple TV+ and Music
LG is offering three free months of Apple TV+ or Apple Music if you purchase a select smart TV during the company’s limited-time Streaming Week promotion.
The Apple TV+ deal starts the day of the Apple event on Monday, September 9, and is valid through Sunday, November 17. You can only apply if you’ve never subscribed to Apple TV+, although some “qualified returning subscribers” may also be eligible.
You can access the Apple TV+ promotion via LG’s Streaming Week app or directly from the Apple TV app in over 90 markets on LG’s 4K and 8K televisions manufactured in 2018 or later powered by the webOS 4.0 software or newer. StanbyME and StanbyME Go users are eligible, too, as per the announcement.
You’ll have more time to redeem the Apple Music deal as it’s running from September 9, 2024 all the way until April 30, 2025. If eligible, apply via the LG Streaming app in 44 markets or the Apple Music app in 137 markets on LG OLED TV models released between 2018-2024 and QNED TV models Q90T and above.

You cannot take advantage of this offer without a payment method on file. If you haven’t yet, add a payment method to your Apple ID or redeem an Apple gift card to get some credit so you can participate. Both promotions are restricted to one offer per TV set and Apple ID account, and you must reside in the same country as the country of the Apple ID account you’ll use to redeem the offer.
Importantly, Apple will automatically charge you a monthly subscription after your free trial period has expired. To avoid unwanted charges, cancel your trial in your subscription settings at least a day before the renewal date.
LG will issue other limited weekly promotions with discounted subscriptions for Blacknut, Crunchyroll, DAZN, Mubi, Paramount+, Baby Shark World, and Prime Video as part of its Streaming Week, which celebrates ten years of the webOS software that powers its smart TVs (the offers will also be available from your TV’s home screen, the LG Content Store and the Apps section). LG acquired webOS from HP in 2013, which bought it from smartphone maker Palm.
Free Apple TV+ with a new device purchase
Apple TV+ costs $10/month and Apple Music $11/month after a free 7-day trial. You can get these services for less by subscribing to one of the Apple One bundles, which combine other Apple services at a lower price. In that case, your free trial will be extended to one month. The only way you can get three free months of Apple TV+ from Apple when buying new Apple hardware.
However, Apple’s partners sometimes offer longer Apple TV+ and Apple Music trials to boost sales. For example, Sony offered eligible PlayStation owners three free months of Apple TV+. And back in 2021, LG had a similar deal where new TV owners were treated to three free months of Apple TV+.
