Apple’s biggest product unveil of the year will allegedly occur on Tuesday, September 10, when the company is slated to unveil many new products.

If you’ve been anxiously awaiting the next iPhone, the wait will soon be over. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claims Apple’s fall product bonanza will take place on September 10, and he’s called for new phones, watches and earbuds.

“Apple is planning to hold its biggest product launch event of the year on September 10, when the company will unveil the latest iPhones, watches and AirPods, according to people familiar with the situation.” he wrote on Bloomberg.

Provided Gurman’s right, Apple should send out invites within days. All Apple events held since the pandemic were pre-taped keynote presentations broadcast online, with limited on-site attendance, and we’re expecting the same this time around.

Rumor: Apple event on September 10

If the event is happening on Tuesday, September 10, we can infer that Apple will start taking pre-orders for the iPhone 16 and other announced products on Friday, September 13. And from there, we can extrapolate that the products will hit store shelves a week later on Friday, September 20.

In past years, Apple released annual iOS updates on Wednesdays before new iPhones arrive, meaning you can expect iOS 18, iPadOS 18, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, and macOS Sequoia to drop on September 18.

What about a Mac-focused event in October?

There will be another event in October, without a doubt. In Apple’s marketing playbook, September is reserved for new iPhones and adjacent products like the Apple Watch and AirPods. This is usually followed by another event in October where the company unveils new Mac models and other products.

But there were deviations from this strategy, as we saw new iPhones revealed in June and new Macs and macOS updates in October and November.

MacRumors has learned from its sources that Apple will release macOS Sequoia alongside iOS 18 and all the other updates in September. Now, some people interpret this as a sign that the September event will combine the launch of the new iPhone, AirPods, Apple Watch, and Mac into one mega-presentation.

Apple Intelligence in October

This is almost guaranteed to be incorrect. The only reason macOS Sequoia 10.0 is launching in September is to support the excellent new iPhone Mirroring feature and a few other ones that are shared across iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia.

Another reason why there will be an event in October is Apple Intelligence. The initial iOS 18.0 and macOS Sequoia 15.0 releases coming down the pike in September won’t have Apple Intelligence.

Instead, Apple Intelligence will arrive via iOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 in October, so one would imagine Apple would want a dedicated event to discuss Apple Intelligence on M4 Macs.
