Tips and tricks for using your new iPad Air 4
Our videographer Harris Craycraft has managed to get his hands on a brand new iPad Air 4 in a beautiful blue finish that Apple markets as Sky Blue. Harris is big on the iPad, he uses his Apple tablets for everything from studies to work to entertainment and so forth, so we thought our readers might appreciate a handful of tips and tricks for efficient use of the new iPad Air.

I always enjoy Harris’s video work, especially these calm, authoritative overviews of Apple’s new gadgets. His ten-minute footage goes through some of the not-so-obvious software features that you may or may not be familiar with. I particularly like how Harris lays out user choices in terms of expansions and USB-C peripherals which used to be off limits to iPad Air owners because previous iterations of the tablet had Lightning, not USB-C.

The iPad Pro has still a few things going on for it, including Face ID, the 1TB storage option, a ProMotion 120Hz display, four stereo speakers and so forth. And if the rumor-mill is an indication, Apple will refresh the iPad Pro line in the first quarter of 2021. It goes without saying that the new model will run an enhanced version of the A14 Bionic chip in the iPad Air 4 that will put some distance between the iPad Air and the iPad Pro models in terms of performance.
The new iPad Air is available to order on apple.com, in the Apple Store app and from authorized resellers. Wi-Fi models of the iPad Air 4 are available with a starting price of $599. Wi-Fi + Cellular models start at $729. The tablet is available in 64GB and 256GB configurations, in Silver, Space Gray, Rose Gold, Green and Sky Blue.
