Apple reopens its Vienna store in Austria
Apple’s retail store in Vienna, Austria has reopened today with everything that goes with it, including products, services and specialists. The location reopened at 11am this morning.
According to the company, Apple Kärntner Straße in Vienna will operate on limited hours from 11am until 6pm on work days. Of course, store employees and customers have been instructed to follow the social distancing rules in order to protect themselves and others from exposure to the novel coronavirus, which causes the COVID-19 disease.
“You may have to wait a bit before you can enter the store,” according to Apple. The company instructs shoppers to wear a protective mask when entering the store and while shopping. “If you need one, ask us,” the company continue.
This is the second Apple retail store that has reopened outside of Greater China (Apple temporarily closed all its stores outside of Greater China on March 14) following reopening of Apple’s lone store in South Korea, located in Seoul’s Gangnam district.
Apple’s retail head Deirdre O’Brien reportedly told staff that “many more” store re-openings are due in May, based on her email to retail troops that was seen by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
