How to remove Memoji and Animoji stickers from your iPhone’s Emoji keyboard

If you don’t use stickers in your instant messaging conversations, we’ll show you how to get rid of the annoying Memoji stickers section in the emoji picker of Apple’s default iOS keyboard, thanks to a feature exposed in iOS 13.3.

In iOS 13.0, Animoji (Apple’s animated emoji characters) and Memoji (customizable Animoji that can be made to look like you) are available as stickers from the “frequently used” section of the emoji picker on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This can be quite problematic because these things tend to take up valuable real estate in the default iOS keyboard.

While the feature is great for folks who prefer to liven up their conversations by sending stickers of their favorite Animoji or Memoji characters, wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to remove that section from your iPhone’s emoji keyboard at will? With iOS 13.3, there is!

How to remove Memoji stickers from iPhone’s Emoji keyboard

To make more room for your regular emoji characters in your iPhone’s Emoji keyboard, you’ll need to remove the section where your Memoji and Animoji stickers show up. Here’s how.

1) Open Settings on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iOS 13.3 or later.

2) Choose General from the main list.

3) Tap Keyboard.

4) Slide the Memoji Stickers switch at the screen bottom to the OFF position.

And just like that, you’re back to iOS’s standard emoji picker you know and love!
