And Safari on iOS and iPadOS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2021\/07\/15\/safari-changes-ios-15-video\/\" rel=\"noopener\">got extension support<\/a> with iOS 15 released in 2021. But despite years of support, the Safari Extensions store is a lot more limited than the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2023\/01\/10\/how-to-manage-chrome-extensions\/\">Chrome Web Store<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To address this, Apple now lets you create your own extensions based on your needs, without compromising your privacy. You can simply describe what you want, and Apple Intelligence will likely build a working Safari extension just for you and your devices in a couple of minutes. Plus, they automatically sync via iCloud on all devices where you have signed in with the same Apple Account.<\/p>\n<h2>Create Safari extensions on Mac<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> Update your Mac to macOS 27 Golden Gate or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2026\/06\/16\/install-macos-27-on-partition\/\">install it on a partition<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> Make sure <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2026\/06\/11\/get-siri-ai\/\">new Siri<\/a> (and by extension, Apple Intelligence) is set up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> Open <strong>Safari<\/strong> and visit a website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4)<\/strong> Click the <strong>three-line menu icon<\/strong> on the left side of the address bar as shown in the screenshot below, and select <strong>Describe Extension<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1061347\" src=\"https:\/\/media.idownloadblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Describe-Extension-in-Safari-on-macOS-27.jpg\" alt=\"Describe Extension in Safari on macOS 27\" width=\"2020\" height=\"898\" \/> <\/p>\n<p><strong>5)<\/strong> Now:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Think of what you want the extension to do; what new feature or improvements you want to add to Safari\u2026<\/li>\n<li>Or, you can pick a suggested idea from these categories: Boost Productivity, Improve Focus, Get Creative, and Design &amp; Develop.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For this tutorial, I have my own idea: I want Apple Intelligence to build me an extension that changes the page color on iDownloadBlog (and other websites) from white to gray for a retro look. In case there are none (which is the case in most cases), it will say &#8216;No App Store Results.
