In this quick tutorial, we tell you which settings to turn off if you don’t want Firefox on your Mac or Windows PC to periodically show little recommendation popups about browser features, add-ons, extensions, and updates.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Recommendations <\/p>\n

Firefox is a great browser that can do nearly everything Google Chrome and Safari can. And Firefox tries to tell you about its useful features with little popups, as the one shown in the image below.<\/p>\n

These popups usually appear when you first install the app, update the browser, or are just browsing the web and doing regular things like looking for extensions (add-ons), printing pages, and such.<\/p>\n

While sometimes useful, these popups can also be annoying, especially when you’re focused on something important. Plus, they can unwantedly make their way into the screenshots if you didn’t bother dismissing them.<\/p>\n

Now, you can easily turn them off right when you receive one by clicking the arrow next to the ‘Dismiss’ button.<\/p>\n

Turn off little recommendations and suggestion popups in Firefox<\/h2>\n

1)<\/strong> Open Firefox<\/strong> on your Mac or Windows PC.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Click the hamburger menu icon<\/strong> in the upper right corner and select Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> Select ‘Tabs and browsing<\/strong>‘ in the left sidebar.<\/p>\n

4)<\/strong> Scroll to the bottom and uncheck both switches under the Recommendations<\/strong> heading.<\/p>\n
