This is because, before watchOS 27, Apple Watch had three separate apps that did the job of a single Find My app. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2025\/08\/25\/how-to-use-find-my-apple-watch\/\">These apps were<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Find People<\/li>\n<li>Find Devices, and<\/li>\n<li>Find Items<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1048772\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1048772\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><\/figure>\n<p>Apple had these three apps because cramming all the features into one on a device with a tiny screen would not have been very user-friendly.<\/p>\n<p>But now that the watch screens are larger than before and people are used to smartwatches, Apple developers and software designers have finally worked their charm and assembled all three separate Find My features into a single app, bringing it in line with iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a quick summary of how to get this new Find My app on your Apple Watch and how to use it.<\/p>\n<h2>Use the new Find My app on Apple Watch<\/h2>\n<p>Make sure Find My is enabled on your iPhone (Settings &gt; Apple Account &gt; Find My) and then follow these steps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2026\/06\/25\/install-watchos27\/\">Update your Apple Watch to watchOS 27<\/a> (currently it&#8217;s in beta).<\/p>\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> Open the new <strong>Find My app<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> Tap the icon you see in the top left corner of the screen. It could be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two-person icon \u2013 Find People<\/li>\n<li>MacBook and iPhone icon \u2013 Find Devices<\/li>\n<li>Four AirTags icon \u2013 Find Items<\/li>\n<li>Location icon \u2013 About your current location<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1059491\" src=\"https:\/\/media.idownloadblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/People-Devices-Items-icon-in-new-Find-My-app-on-Apple-Watch.jpg\" alt=\"People Devices Items icon in new Find My app on Apple Watch\" width=\"2240\" height=\"878\" \/> <\/p>\n<p><strong>4)<\/strong> Tap <strong>People<\/strong> to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2023\/12\/29\/how-to-share-location-with-family-members\/\">See the location of your friends and family<\/a> who are sharing their location with you.<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re sharing your location with them, you can also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2026\/06\/29\/hide-location-find-my\/\">use the new flexible location-sharing option<\/a> to temporarily hide it without alerting them.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2019\/10\/28\/notifications-find-my-app\/\">Add location alerts<\/a> to get notified when their location changes.
