It is the fourth largest PC vendor behind Lenovo, HP, and Dell, but it posted the fastest growth last quarter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApple grew 12.7% year over year, which was the largest jump among the major vendors,\u201d Gartner analyst Rishi Padhi said in a news release. \u201cThis performance was primarily driven by robust demand for the MacBook Neo, particularly among new Mac users and buyers in the education sector.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere on Friday, Counterpoint Research reported that Apple\u2019s global smartphone market share rose to 21% in the first quarter from 19% from Q1 2025. Its unit shipments rose 5% in the first quarter, while the overall market fell 6%.
