The company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zZA8nzqealU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube commercial<\/a> claims that kids won\u2019t feel anything as the hidden compartment doesn\u2019t impact comfort. An AirTag stashed in the hidden compartment will report its location via the kid\u2019s iPhone or other Apple device.<\/p>\n<p>If they went out without their iPhone or another Apple device on them, the AirTag will rely on nearby iPhone and Android devices (via Bluetooth) to pick up its signal and report its location to the Find My network.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2021\/04\/22\/apple-airbags-tracking-kids-pets\/\">Apple doesn\u2019t condone using AirTags for tracking small children<\/a> who could swallow the item tracker. But in this case, there\u2019s no such danger as an AirTag is safely tucked in the hidden compartment.
