Apple has kickstarted its annual WWDC keynote, and the biggest news thus far has been iOS 18. The software update will feature significant new customization options for both the Home Screen and Control Center, as well as the ability to lock individual apps, and the biggest refresh for the stock Photos app, ever.
iOS 18 Home Screen
Everyone, let’s take a moment to celebrate this long-awaited feature finally arriving to iOS—the ability to put icons anywhere you want on your Home Screen grid. This resolves a long-running complaint from users, who up until now, have been forced to put icons at the top of their very large iPhone screens.
- Dark mode icons give your app icons a new, custom look that will surely match better with darker wallpapers
- You can also tint your app icons to virtually any color to complement your wallpaper
