Apple is no longer offering the iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone XR

You may have heard that Apple announced four new iPhones earlier today. And that’s true! The iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max are now officially official. And now that they are part of the lineup, Apple has had to make some other choices to help trim the fat a little bit.

As a result, there are older iPhone models that are no longer being offered by the company. What’s more, with the shakeup to the line, Apple is offering a bit of a discount on some older handsets to help offset the changes. So if you are in the market for an iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, or an iPhone XR, new out of the box, Apple’s online storefront is not where you’ll get them any longer.

Apple updated its website today to reflect the changes.

Navigating to Apple’s site will show that, as of right now, you can buy the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max from the newest handset lineup. The iPhone 12 is currently available if you want to go that route, or the iPhone 12 mini for that matter. Both of those handsets received a $100 price decrease.

Meanwhile, the iPhone XR has also been removed from the lineup. Taking its place, basically, is the iPhone 11 — which also received a $100 price decrease.

For those keeping track, this means you can buy the iPhone 13 lineup, the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12, the iPhone SE, and the iPhone 11 directly from Apple. There are still some refurbished options for the models that were removed from Apple’s current lineup. And you may get lucky from some third-party retailers and wireless carriers, too.

Are you planning to upgrade to the iPhone 13 when it arrives later this month?
