Apple Pay arrives in Ukraine
Apple’s mobile payment service is now available in Ukraine.
Customers in the 45 million people country in Eastern Europe (Ukraine is the 32nd most populous country in the world) can now add their credit or debit card to the Wallet app on their iPhone, iPad or Mac to start making contactless payments in stores, apps and on the web.
According to Tehnot, Ukrainians can register locally-issued MasterCard and Visa with Apple Pay, in addition to cards issued by the country’s nationalized PrivatBank.

Apple’s chief executive said during May’s earnings call with investors and Wall Street analysts that the mobile payment service would expand to Norway, Poland and Ukraine “in the next several months.”
Last month, Apple Pay launched in Brazil.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is partnering with investment bank Goldman Sachs to offer a branded Apple Pay credit credit to its users some time in early 2019.
