Another veteran television producer has joined Apple’s growing original video team.

Variety reported Wednesday that TV programming veteran Michelle Lee has joined the iPhone maker’s venture into scripted television content. Lee has been named a creative executive at Apple Worldwide Video, which is the unit charged with leading Apple’s push into original series programming.

She will report to former WGA America President Matt Cherniss, who joined Apple in August. Since 2012, Lee has served as producing partner to Emmy-winning writer and showrunner Jason Katims at Universal Television-based True Jack Productions.

She is credited with helping produce the upcoming series “Rise” for NBC, “The Path” for Hulu, “About a Boy” for NBC, and “Pure Genius” for CBS. Lee began her career as a TV executive at the Mark Gordon Company.

Amazon Studios executive Morgan Wandell joined Apple in October to lead international development. Apple’s television content unit is led by longtime Sony Pictures Television executives Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, who were given a $1 billion budget to shop for original TV shows in the next twelve months.

The Cupertino giant recently announced its first two scripted series efforts, a network morning-show drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and a revival of Steve Spielberg’s anthology TV series “Amazing Stories.”
