How to Get Back at Stores Disabling ApplePay on Purpose

Yesterday we reported that Rite-Aid and CVS are disabling Apple Pay.  If you are sure the store has NFC terminals and is disabling ApplePay, here is a way to get back at them.  Please don’t do this to stores that are trying to get approved or plan to take Apple Pay.

1. Get a large grocery cart or maybe two.

2. Fill it up with lots of small items like Nail Polish and Lipstick.

3. Go to the counter and let them ring up all the items and bag them too!!

4. Try to pay with ApplePay.

5. When it declines tell them ApplePay is not working.

6. Once they tell you that it wont work in their stores, put away your iDevice and say well I guess I go to another store then.

7. Walk out and leave them to void every item and put them all back on the shelves.

** IMPORTANT NOTE  **   Although this is perfectly legal, we suggest you don’t try this more then once at the same store!!!
