Too Many iPhones?
Here I am in Breckenridge, Colorado. A town located in Summit County whose entire population is about 20k people. Breckenridge alone this week has about 150k people in it and a majority of them have iphones.
What happened?
You guessed it. 3G totally crashed. You cant make a call and incoming calls go to voice mail. Data on 3g is intermittent, not working more then it is working.
Solution WAS to switch to edge network. I spent my first day here hearing skiers complaining about their iPhone and how it is terrible (some of them just got it for Christmas). I told them all to switch to Edge and they were happy but as that word spread now Edge is pretty bad too.
So maybe this proves that even if Verizon gets an iphone they would have the same problem. The network here is not made for 8 times its normal population.
Anyways…who needs internet and phone on vacation. I DO. I am addicted to my iPhone and this is driving me crazy.
